Responsible Engineer (RE) for following systems / package / equipment :

  • Closed Cooling Water (CCW) System
  • Auxiliary Cooling Water (ACW) System
  • Chemical dosing system
  • Plate type Heat Exchangers
  • General Service Pumps
  • EOT Crane, Gantry Cranes

Major responsibilities include following:

  • Preparation of System description, Design baisi criteria for CCW system & ACW system
  • Pipe sizing calculations, Design calculations for sizing of Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE), Self-Cleaning Strainer, pumps- CCW Pumps & ACW Pumps etc.
  • Preparation of MPS (Material Purchase specification) for General Service Pumps (GSP), Self-cleaning strainer, plate heat exchanger (PHE), chemical dosing system.
  • Preparation of PIDs for CCW system, ACW system and Chemical dosing system.
  • Review of vendor offers, Evaluation of Bids and Preparation of technical evaluation report (TER) for CCW pumps, ACW pumps, Plate heat exchanger (PHE), Self-Cleaning Strainer, Chemical dosing system and Cranes.
  • Technical clarification meetings with Bidders and design review meetings with DES.
  • Vendor Engineering- Kick off meeting, Review of vendor documents/drawings during detailed engineering.

  • 2×750 MW Combined cycle power plant (AGI) at Al Tayyem, Syria.

  • 2×380 MW CCPP (GMR Energy Ltd.) at Vemagiri, Andhra Pradesh.

Responsible Engineer (RE) for following systems / package / equipment :

  • Air & Flue Gas System
  • Fuel Oil System
  • Compressed Air System
  • Condensate water system
  • Feed Water System
  • Water Balance Diagram, Heat Balance Diagram.

Major responsibilities include following:

  • Preparation of Detailed project reports (DPR’s), Feasibility studies for the combined cycle and thermal power projects.
  • Preparation of Enquiry specification, Detail Technical specification, contract documents for sub critical, supercritical thermal power plants (BTG and BOP) and combined cycle plants.
  • Technical Bid analysis of the offers received for BOP and BTG packages. Review of vendor’s proposal and recommendation of the vendor. After award of the contract, following-up with vendors for timely deliveries of the engineering documents.
  • Review of Vendor documents (P&ID, GA’s) for BTG & BOP packages.
  • Preparation of Plot Plan, Heat & Balance Diagrams (HBD) and also knowledge of preparation of WBD’s and project milestone schedule.
  • Preparation of Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s), Flow Diagrams & General Arrangement Drawings (GA) for various systems.
  • Preparation of comparative studies for various systems like cooling towers, condensers type, compressors and pumps etc.
  • Preparation of concept notes, basic studies for fuel oil system, compressed air system, hydrogen generation & cooling system etc.
  • Calculations for arriving at the Boiler efficiency, fuel firing rate, capacities of Air & flue gas system (PA, FD & ID Fans, ESP), Fuel oil system (LDO and HFO firing calculations), combustion air requirement, sizing of condenser, floor coil heater, ESP design, suction heater calculation, pumps like CEP and BFP, Heaters sizing- HP & LP heaters, Stack sizing, compressor sizing, Instrument and service air requirement & line sizing calculations.
  • Knowledge of power plant design software’s like ST Pro and GT Pro. Knowledge of Pipe rack layout, pipe trenches layout in the plot plan.
  • Training of the recruits and updating of design documents in data base.
  • Preparation of Monthly Progress reports of the projects associated.
  • Attending the Engineering, Design and Project review meetings with client (Essar, Jaypee) to discuss the engineering issues and progress of the project.
